The purpose of this experiment is to find the density of distilled
water, the density of a sample of wood, the density of a rock sample
and discover how density determines whether an object sinks or
floats in water.

The purpose of this experiment is to learn how to set up a
distillation apparatus and separate a mixture of methanol and
methylene blue dye by the method of distillation.
Identify.and.Make.Mixtures8.doc
The purpose of this experiment is to learn how to identify a
substance as a pure substance or a mixture, in addition to learning
how to make various types of mixtures.
Making Molecules8.doc
The purpose of this experiment is to learn how atoms join together,
to learn how to make molecules and learn how to write a simple
chemical formula.
Measuring Mass8.doc
The purpose of this experiment is to learn how to measure the mass
of various objects with a centigram balance
Measuring Temperature8.doc
The purpose of this investigation is to learn to take temperature
measurements with a thermometer and find how the temperature of a
mixture is affected by the amounts of hot and cold water used to
make the mixture.
Measuring Volume8.doc
The purpose of this experiment is to learn how to measure the volume
of various objects by direct and indirect measurements, using a
graduated cylinder.

The purpose of this experiment is to observe a chemical reaction and
record the evidence for any chemical changes observed. Making
